Do celebrities like Britney Spears fascinate you? Do you wonder about the lives of celebrities before, during, and after fame? You are not alone. Many people claim to have a favorite actor or actress and most have a favorite singer (like Britney Spears) or band. Maybe a personality dazzles you. Celebrities are constantly in the spotlight and it doesn't matter if they handle themselves with grace or their life is a complete train-wreck (which is usually more fun); they fascinate the general public. Want to learn more about them? There are a number of ways to get more information.

1. CHECK THE MEDIA

Turn on the TV. Celebrity overwhelms television programming, from places typically expected to see your favorite celebrities (TV shows and movies) to the rare and wild (reality shows and uncensored footage). Celebrities are everywhere, even on the evening news. Celebrities are frequent headliners on American daily news covering topics ranging from the serious to the absurd and the obscene. There are even networks devoted entirely to celebrity in many different aspects.

Head to the newsstand. Celebrity magazines are EVERYWHERE. Ranging from serious to bawdy, you are sure to find a publication that suits your desire to know more and has your targeted celebrity mentioned. Keep in mind-not everything you read is necessarily true. If a story you read seems too far-fetched to believe, it is probably false. Double-check the story in a couple of sources before you accept the story as fact.

Go to a book store or the library. Many celebrities have either written books or have had books written about them. These may be more valuable sources of truthful information than magazines and the Internet because presumably most books are fact checked to avoid any liability issues. If the title includes the word unauthorized you may want to take care as to believing everything you read.

2. THE INTERNET IS BEST

Most celebrity's lives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Public fascination creates the demand for information that is seemingly insatiable. This demand has created many different outlets for information

MySpace:

Tons of celebrities how have their own MySpace page. Go to Google, and type in the celebrities name, along with the word Myspace. Chances are their MySpace page will appear.

Go Direct:

Try typing in the name of the celebrity, followed by .com. For example, www.bradpitt.com . If nothing else, you'll be redirected to a site with information about the person.

Fan Sites:

There are quite a few fan portals, such as http://fan-sites.org/, and http://www.fansitedir.com/, which will direct you to the celebrity of your choice.

Porn Sites:

Chances are if you are searching for a female celebrity, there will be hundreds of porn sites popping up during your search. One paid site that offers pictures of nearly every celebrity is http://www.nudecelebritypictures.nu/.

3. HOLLYWOOD TOURS

Travelling to Hollywood and taking the guided tours might help you learn more. There are guided tours of star homes and studios. You just might get lucky and spot one of your favorite stars during these tours. And if nothing else, hang out at the restaurants near the studios and you just might catch a glimpse of someone famous.

4. BEYOND PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE

What else do you want to know? If you can't find the information you are looking for on television, on the radio, in magazines, on the Internet or in books, you may have to accept the fact that you may never know; unless you are in position of asking the celebrity themselves or even someone very close to them. If it's not already public knowledge, there's probably a reason for that. You could ask a question on the celebrity's website and hope for a reply, but don't hold your breath. While the person maintaining the website will answer your basic inquiries, anything that is too personal will probably go unanswered.

It is probably a good idea to point out that you should avoid following celebrities while they are in public or in their private lives. There have been many cases where simple infatuation has gone too far and the fan is arrested for stalking. Know the limits of information seeking from the start.

Due to the incredibly public life most celebrities lead, it is hard for them to stay out of the public eye and therefore avoid speculation, scrutiny, or infatuation. While this is ideal for information seekers, it can be horrible for the person. Many celebrities encounter moments that live in infamy because they are well publicized and follow them forever. Keep this in mind when you are researching your favorite celebrity. They are only human like the rest of us and mistakes are allowed. Happy celebrity hunting!
